Place to install coilovers

I have a set of TEIN coilovers that I would like to have installed this friday.
I called advance automotive in richmond but they are all booked up.

Which other place would you guys recommend?

Garage 5 in Richmond did an awesome job on my car. They installed my Koni Shocks, Ground Control camber kit and SPC front and rear camber kit. Very nice guys to deal with.

Recommend Rise JDM and Garage 5, never personally got work done at garage 5, but i've heard nothing but good reviews. and Rise jdm did a good job on my car and my friend's car.

I dont know about JDM's pricing, they're good for other things, but Garage 5 doesn't change much for coilover installs.

You can also give gearheads a shout, they do alignment too so bonus for convenience

TRDeol 05-25-2011 04:23 PM

Got mine installed at Speed Syndicate, took them about 2.5-3 hours and charged 240 :)

I had shitty tires on that were getting changed. They were going to align it but he said when you get your new tires come back, and he will align for free. So yes, it is including alignment.

keifun 05-25-2011 08:34 PM

Dale's Alignment in Langley if you're willing to go out there.

Great guys, good work!

TL_99 05-25-2011 09:53 PM

thanks everyone for your input, i'll call around and report back with my experience after I decide on a place!

but do keep the suggestions coming

supman7 05-25-2011 10:34 PM

Brian Jessel Autohaus, full red seal techs so they know what they're doing.

crazyazn 05-25-2011 11:27 PM

I've heard good things about AJR too

Cman333 05-25-2011 11:38 PM

:troll: I suggest Rise Auto too

What kind of car? I'll GUESS a 1999 Acura TL.

TL_99 05-26-2011 08:02 AM

I booked an appointment with Drivehard Performance.

I drive a Honda Fit 2009

Will update with my experience and whether or not I recommend them to other tomorrow!

just because somebody has a red seal doesn't always really mean they know what they're doing.....:speechless:

It may not be a matter of 'manning up'. Not everyone has a place to do this kind of install, let alone the tools. Plus, it's a fairly new car... maybe the OP is worried about fucking something up?

OP could live in a ruthless building like myself. I'd love to work more on my car, but in my condo building, I get warnings for even popping my hood to check my oil :(

There are plus sides in taking it to a shop... when Garage Five installed lowering springs in my previous car, it was done in half an hour. I barely had time to walk down to Starbucks before they were calling me telling me my car was done :D

RedTeg1412 05-26-2011 09:51 PM

Garage 5 --- those guys know their stuff... and very reasonable price..

dL 05-26-2011 10:02 PM

I'd go with Speed Syndicate in Burnaby. Or if you don't mind traveling far, Dale's Alignment in Langley is great too.

went to DHP. great guys there. only thing is the axel popped out. Hopefully that won't affect anything in the long run. So far car drives perfect after the install.
