Well I picked up a new car and i wont be driving my civic anymore. I love this car to bits and have so much of my heart and soul into this car !!! I daily drive it 80km's and have put 20 000km's on it in 10 months or so. Body has 298 xxx km's on it. I drive this car from pitt meadows to richmond and back every day, it super reliable and has never let me down.
Exterior - Body is defiantly a bit rough, has a couple bits of rust on the rocker panels, and a bit on the driver side rear wheel well (about half the size of a $5 bill). Looking down the side of the car its fairly wavy, but not really any actual big dents. The paint is pretty dull, i painted the bottom half black. Its pretty low, sitting on eibach springs with good OE replacement shocks i got a month or two ago. Headlights are like brand new and vented. Can throw in a set of HID's (6000k). Perfect commuter for someone working in a rough area such as construction (Im an HD mechanic and its perfect).
Interior - Mostly SI interior. Si door panels, dash, cluster, bezel, center console, clock. Also has SI front and rear seats. The seats are all in good shape, no big rips or anything. Dash and door panels are also excellent. Only spots inside the car that arent great are the carpet (its old, but still pretty blue hahaha) and the rear sail panels (again, blue and scratched a bit). Battery has been relocated to trunk in taylor battery box (month old). Battery is externally switched. AEM wideband and autometer Boost gauges.
Drivetrain - This is what your buying this car for ! Everything to do with the forced induction setup has less then 10 000km's on it. D16Y7 with ARP studs and new MLS head gasket. Z6 manifold, z6 throttle body, DSM 450cc injectors (new seals). Walboro 255 fuel pump. Brand new distributor, plugs, and wires. Drag style manifold (cast), Tial external wastegate. Greddy 15g turbo, had no end to end shaft play. Custom fabricated aluminium 2.5" charge pipes (bead rolled also). Silicone couplers and stainless steel t-bolt clamps. Custom "back door" intercooler setup. HKS SSQV blow off valve. A6 transmission (Si trans, starting to get noisy but shifts good. If you drove it with ear plugs you'd think its perfect). Comp stage 4 6-puck clutch (again bought brand new).Cvs are good and were replaced when i did the clutch. Could use some rotors as they shake a bit.
Car was dyno tuned by evolution performance and made 229whp and 226lb-ft torque (250hp and 250tq at crank approx.). It has 4.5hrs of dyno tuning into it, lots of which is when the car is in vacuum. What does this mean ? I consistently get a minimum of 500 to 550km's to 37litres or so, which works out to in and around 34mpg. This is a real number ive calculated over 10000km's of driving, not one i made up like some people do. I get the exact same mileage as i did when the car wasnt turbo. Pretty cool as it has over double the stock horsepower ! Ran 13.108 @ 105mph on the 1/4 mile on tiny road racing slicks with a 2.1 60ft. This car will easily go 12s.
Overall its a super fun car, i love it to bits. Perfect daily driver, it will never let you down, ever. It passes tech at mission raceway no problem, so you can go and slay 80% of the cars there on $10 fuel. Its not a show car, its meant to be driven, and has been, but it will serve you well. Dont expect a perfect clean body. Its ok, but far from perfect. I have $3000 in receipts for the car, not including the purchase price. All together im into it for about $4000. Currently aircared and will aircare again no problems,
