What is your favourite Canucks jersey?

Cancuks have gone through many uniform changes over the time, from a classic 70's look to one of the most reviled pro sports uniforms in sports history. Which one is your favourite?

1) The original "stick in rink" look

2) The Flying V

3) The "Sled" in orange and gold

4) The "Sled" alternate jersey (shown at bottom)

5) The Corporate Orca

That gradient effect was kinda cool in my opinion.
Don't recall any other team pulling that off.

i honestly never heard of the Canucks Skate Logo being called the sled......

carisear 05-27-2011 07:04 PM

I think that's my own thing, I always thought it looked stupid, like Santa's sled or something. I hated the logo and colours so much that I didn't even follow the team back then.

The skate jersey looks awesome. But I'm not sure if it's because it gives me memories of 94. Either way, it gets my vote.

I ended up buying the sled (voted for it here too) over a flying V . As ugly as the V was, there's something to it that draws me to it, no idea what though.

I do like the current look too though.

The "V" would look alright if it had the original colorway.

Nah I didn't bother, it has the worst elements of both the Flying V and the Santa Sled :lol

RRxtar 05-27-2011 08:42 PM

Favorite is current in white.

I really liked the SKATE alternate back in the day.

my first jersey was a skate in white

Love the Green and blue, the new logo has grown on me as well.

shawn79 05-27-2011 08:57 PM

The Corporate Look (Messier era/dark ages)

worst era EVER!

trading away linden and bure making messiers team.

shawn79 05-27-2011 08:58 PM

+ 1. I only really like it for the nostalgia factor but design wise I've always thought it's just fugly. Which is wierd, because colourwise I think Black should look more intimidating/awesome than blue. ie: Calgary Hitmen, Ducks, old Tampa Bay etc.

Voted for the current corporate; it's just slick IMO. I think it's the "Vancouver" lettering on top of the logo give's it like.... i'm not sure what to call it... maybe a football feel?

I counted the current 3rd jersey and the original skate in rink as the same one.. if you like it, vote that one!

nosaj 05-27-2011 10:52 PM

i like the current one :)

RayBot 05-27-2011 10:58 PM

I was hoping that the Canucks would use the 94 jerseys as their alternate/third jersey the same way the Buffalo Sabres used their older logo as their alternate jersey.

Looks like Buffalo will be sticking with their vintage jersey look as their full time jersey (man, those guys change their jerseys so often, as well as washington).

SkinnyPupp 05-27-2011 11:04 PM

I just wish they'd use the vintage logo as their main one. I do like the VANCOUVER, but don't like the "corporate" ties of the orca. Although lately people seem to have latched onto it as the team's identity, at least when playing other aquatic animal teams...

no, i like the modern design of the stink in rink better... it looks more cartoonish goes well with the johnny canuck logo on the shoulder patches
the lines on the jersey looks more bold and is very eye catching

bloodmack 05-27-2011 11:14 PM

Went with 3 cause it was my first jersey, I got it when I was 6 years old, at my first game ever. We won 5 to 3 against dallas stars.. I will never forget it :P.

JqC 05-27-2011 11:58 PM

Aw no love for the red skate jersey?

Ronin 05-28-2011 12:23 AM

My Linden black away skate jersey is my favorite.

It's a tribute to '94, game 7...the greatest moment in Canucks history thus far.

I'm sure a current Kesler jersey will be my favorite when we win the Cup.
