Please tell me you're joking.

Of course there were lots of police in the area, the mall is attached to a police station.

On May 27th, 2011 at approximately 1:00 PM, Burnaby RCMP were called to the Crystal Mall located at Willingdon and Kingsway for a report that a man had fallen over a railing inside the mall. When officers arrived on scene, they learned that a man had fallen six stories to a concrete floor below. The officers conducted CPR on the victim until paramedics and fire fighters arrived and took over first aid. Tragically, the man could not be revived.

Investigation reveals that the the man, a 31-year-old Burnaby resident, took his own life by jumping over a railing six stories above the point where he was found.

The RCMP does not normally issue news releases on suicides, however this event took place in front of approximately 100 people, and there have been numerous media enquiries about the incident.

The man's family have been advised, and the victim's name will not be released at their request.

What were you gonna do? Push away the paramedics and start reviving the guy yourself? This has nothing to do with bystander effect.

Why are people making rude remarks and joking about the guys death? Like come on none of you knew what he went through, thats a human life why are people so senseless nowadays. Even if u r being sarcastic, thats still a joke made upon someones death. This makes me even sicker.

bloodmack 05-28-2011 03:04 PM

I feel nothing for people who suicide, its their choice to die and the will of their own to go through with it. I could understand if someone pushed him off but just jumping because you most likely hit a road bump in life.. Natural selection at its finest.

i understand, but people can still keep their stupid remarks to themselves.

If you treat these incidents as if the dead was a family or friend then these comments wouldn't appear.

If my family member or friend did this sure I would be sad, but I'd be sad because they chose such a STUPID choice in their life.

Its not a stupid remark its the truth.
