Its not a stupid remark its the truth.

Ever heard this maybe from your mother: :stfu: or it's more pc version, If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Sadly no, although "all the time" is a bit of an exaggeration. The last suicide jump I recall was at least 2 or 3 weeks ago, where one of Hong Kong's top soccer players leaped to his death from his apartment window after an argument with his wife.

I heard not giving a fuck about what others think about your values means your willing to say what no one wants to hear. Unfortunately, I value life so when I see someone throw it away like that I tend to speak upon it.

I went to visit my mom today, and she was telling me that there were witnesses that said that it looked like the guy was messing around, flying up the stairs, and then trying to railslide back down. Railslide fail?

It must be true, since my mom heard it from a friend of a friend of the concierge of one of the witnesses.

Seems a little odd that a 31-yr old would still dick around, esp when theres obviously nothing to catch him if he dun goofd.

fatality

flawless victory?

Why do they jump in public. Even though in every way I think a dead person should be respected but they have no courtesy and respect for others in the first place.

Suicide is the most selfish act one can take upon themselves so what makes you think that the place of the act would be any different?

The_AK 05-28-2011 10:41 PM

fucking stupid, fail me, i dont care

Gnomes 05-28-2011 11:47 PM

There are better ways to suicide than ones that involve disruption to people/businesses around. Somewhat selfish to jump and risk traumatizing people who witness it. Not to promote suicide but if you must, do it in such a way where paramedics dont waste their time trying to revive and dont do it in a way where there's other people's life is involved. Try wearing the person's shoe? Ask the suicider to wear the shoes of potential hundreds of lives he involved directly and indirectly.

As to the first statement: Two options here either your comment is total bs or you're looking for a pat on the back after calling this death "natural selection at it's finest" in post 45.

Part two: We all value life your point is useless. Virtually all forms of life have a self preservation trait ingrained instinctually we all know this and for any one to commit suicide there has to be a mental deficiency of some sort.

So sure it's courageous to say what others don't want to hear in some situations. Here you are taking shit about someone who is dead and that's depraved.

bloodmack: Someone died and you chim in with your best nelson muntz impression of ha ha. That's the way your "natural selection" reference sounded to me.

rip

It's your remark, it's YOUR opinion, it's not the TRUTH. Sorry, just felt like correcting you.

You got a point. If they were smart enough to suicide they wouldn't have the knowledge of first considering the courtesy of others and thinking of the kids who would witness the incident and affect their childhood memories.

I bet you wouldn't say anything bad if it were your relative. Show some humility and respect for the victim's family.

honestly that part of crystal mall is fucking dangerous.
the stairs are VERY high from the bottom.
countless times i've seen kids literally climb half over the rail to see the bottom, and in some cases, they have almost fallen over.
i think they should do something about that area, it scares me

Greenstoner 05-29-2011 09:14 PM

they should put up netting

A lot of locations are very high. A lot of malls have high locations too.
If people are dumb enough to climb over, whether it's kids or adults, what can people do.
It's not like people are going to start designing 10 feet high railings on everything that's higher than 2 stories.
