911fanatic vs hammered Infiniti

A client recently acquired this Infinity and wanted it to look great. He usually does his own stuff but knew it was beyond what he was capable of doing at this point. He didn't have a big budget but was able to leave it for as long as I needed to fit in between jobs to fill time. Turns out we needed to fill empty time slots for about a week! LOL

Engine, jambs and trim cleaned with Exclusive APC and RG brushes.
Foamed with Exclusive APC mixed 1:1 with water and a shot of DP Extreme Foam just for fun
Washed with Exclusive Soap and RG Sheepskin Mitt
Wheels cleaned with IronX
Clayed with Sonus Ultrafine and Sonus Glyde clay lube
All polishing was done with Flex 3403 / B&S Yellow / B&S Green / Menz Power Finish
LSP was 2 coats of Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger
Tires dressed with Exclusive Tire Dressing
Exhaust polished with DG metal polish

Total time - approx 20 hours

As delivered. Looks awesome.....from afar!

Wheels were two piece polished aluminum with raw aluminum barrels so using any type of acid to clean the build up of brake dust was out of the question. Up until this point I had used IronX to clean leftover brake dust off wheels, but not to actually clean the entire wheel. Worked like a charm!

HOLY SMOKES!!

Everytime I read your posts it always seems to amaze me how precise and detailed your work is. It seems like you can overcome any blemish or imperfections cars/paint throws at you.

I really applaud your workmanship!

It really makes me want to bring you my car and see if you can fix my imperfections.

I read up your site and notice the prices, little pricey for me, but definitely worth it. Maybe when I have some extra funds, I will call you for your service.

Much Thanks for the detailed pics.

Its frustrating for me as well as the prices seem high, but in reality, I only charge $40/hr. Its just that it takes so much time to do it properly. I'd love to be able to lower the prices but its just not possible.

rexsomnii 06-03-2011 11:45 PM

HOLY WOW.

AMAZING QUALITY.

That actually sounds quite fair at $40/hr...taking more time shows you have patience for good work.

Noizz 06-04-2011 10:11 AM

^ don't forget material cost either. The products he uses isn't exactly cheap.

Iron-X is around $15 for 500ml, you might use 1/3 of it for the whole car + rims, theres $5 right there. During the wash + polish stages, the cost of all the products used can probably range from $3-5/hour or more.

Szeto 06-09-2011 08:13 PM

good work as always!

Mkhun 09-05-2012 10:25 AM

:sweetjesus: MY GOD.

I've always thought your workmanship definitely is TOP NOTCH, however, after seeing this thread, I realized my car has HOPE :victory:

I've actually was considering to re-paint my whole car along with 3 Hit&Run claims I've had.

If price fits in my book, I'm def. bringing mine to you after taking care of those claims for fix :fuckyea:

*PS: BTW, if cars been left on the shop, it's better idea to tag a friend along so that i can get a ride back and forth, right?

911fanatic 09-05-2012 06:40 PM

Yes, definitely bring a ride. Best to come by and we can have a look and give you a quote. After that, we can book an appointment. :)

Iceman-19 09-05-2012 07:25 PM

I definitely want to bring my truck to you because of the paint color, but I'm afraid of the bill because of the square footage haha.
