South America

I'm toying with idea of going and hitting up a combination of argentina, brazil and/or chile near the end of july. How much should I be expecting to pay for airfare and any tips for finding cheaper airfare? Looked up on a few sites and found a few for around $1600ish so around $2000 w/ taxes that sound about right?

If you are into snowboarding/ski, definitely hit up Bariloche or Mendoza (Argentina) for some very fine powders as you will be there in their winter time.

My suggestion for a trip that goes from Arg-->Chile-->Brazil: Buenos Aires-->Calafate (for Perito Moreno Glacier)-->Bariloche (for sightseeing and snowboard while you are there. The landscape is breathtaking even if you are not skiing)-->Puerto Montt (for incredibly cheap sea food)--> Santiago-->back to Arg via "Tren a las Nubes"-->Iguazu Fall-->Brazil (not sure what's good in Brazil around winter time... you probably want to look it up before deciding whether to go to Brazil or not)
