Puck marks kill my jerseys. I go through at least a half dozen a year, about 30 skates each before they're mostly black rubber.

Still, $11 for a jersey makes me wonder if its going to fall apart on the first wear.

NHL jerseys aren't meant to be worn for pickup ice hockey, imo. Something about it, especially with a name and number of a pro player, screams NOOB.

I don't see an issue with wearing a replica to drop-in. We already can't play in the NHL, so there's no harm in wearing your favorite team's crest and colours while playing the actual sport that your favorite team plays.

What you can say for sure is that the players who dress like a complete mess are the best players on the ice. Mismatched socks on the verge of becoming rags, yellowing "white" jerseys, a helmet colour that no person would ever buy but came from their rep/JR A/CHL/NCAA team. It's always those guys I swear. Making shit look too easy. Try getting a noob to pull off that look lol he'd get razzed about needing to go to CT to pick up some new gear.

That's why I always look my best. That way people know I'm a noob and take it easy on me

m3thods 12-03-2013 11:37 AM

That's when I start justifying new gear.

"Oh there are a ton of puck marks on my holders. New skates!"

You have to keep the charade going as long as possible, or at least people start recognizing you as the wolf in sheep's clothing lol.

wasnt that Sport Chek's ad from years ago
"Look like a pro, feel like a pro"

Mike Oxbig 12-03-2013 07:02 PM

Lol at people who put the Heritage classic patch on the front. It seems like it will be on the shoulders.

There's a store in Metrotown across from the Footlocker (by Toys R Us) sorry, don't remember their name, they carry jerseys and team shirts. Also Sportchek might have them.

The jerseys with patches on the front chest have been coming direct from Reebok like that. The Canucks Store has been adding the patch on their existing stock of jerseys to the shoulder as per how Henrik wore it during the unveiling. I have a few friends that work at the Canucks Store and they said going forward they will be moving the patch to the front chest now because of Reebok's screw up.

On a side note, all of the old stock of Premier jerseys the Canucks Store still sells are made in Indonesia but I saw the ones for this season at The Hockey Shop and they are Air-Knit and Made in Canada. Fuck yes. Reebok is finally getting something right.

what's the damage on the patch by itself? Nice of the jersies to cost the same as last year's Millionaires jersies, and come with a 'free' patch

Mike Oxbig 12-04-2013 09:51 PM

The name and number material suppose to be wool... I think im seeing polyester from reebok

The patch costs $19.99, but if you bought a Millionaires jersey from them back in March and can provide proof of purchase its free!

Vancity Sports is the only place that sells Millionaires jerseys with the wool name and number.

UFO 12-05-2013 01:49 AM

^dang, bought my jersey from Vancity sports, doubt they'd give out the free patches too

PCC actually did the numbers in the felt material too.

Have you no joy in your life?
:okay:

I love my NHL and world jerseys. All of them have puck marks and are used regularly.
My latest additions are:

#30 Bryzgalov CSKA Moscow
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps6nk9astb.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psulzpo5uf.jpg

#33 Murygin AMUR Khabarovsk
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psxbrxfiyh.jpg

#20 Tretiak Red Army
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psvowkhvbe.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psfozcvsgo.jpg

I had to get the Kipper jersey modified as the legit NHL jerseys only come in player sizes. My wife is friends with a lady who is a seamstress, so for $10 she added material and now it's one of my favorite jerseys to wear.

And my team jersey.
