i believe cbc assigns him to announce the eastern games. weekes and what's his face are friggin BORING to listen to and just awful in terms of skill as an announcer.

No kidding. Weekes is so fucking dull and monotone.

Is there a process in which they assign their announcers? Hughson always did our games on Sportsnet so I never got why they moved him....

He took the CBC gig and obviously they are going to cater to the East. While we get shafted with Weekes.

CBC commentating is tolerable once the Playoffs start :D

I like Jim Hughson but I don't like him covering the Leafs because of the detectable Western bias he has. I wish Bob Cole was still good to go and you could have Jim back.

Kevin Weekes is a color commentator while Jim Hughson is a play-by-play guy.

I think it's only fair to compare Kevin Weekes to other color commentators.
