Sedins had the best game in the last few at least, a good number of controlling shifts |

@ canucks.com pahlsson = sami-automatic |
A much better game by the entire team. Good job Sammy, good goal! Pahlsson's shot on the winning goal was like the shot of the other Sami. |
who was the one with the bu ka ke sign? Lol Posted via RS Mobile |

GOOD JOB nucks! |
Missed the game but loved the result! How did the ex-Canucks do? Tanner seems like he still misses the city. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0...jkyxo1_500.jpg Welly, Glass and Henrik http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0...j7m5o1_400.gif Happy lappy http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0...jkyxo1_400.gif |
That picture of Glass isn't from this year, right? Tanner Glass is just an awesome dude...super nice, down to earth. |

Love the Bure Highlights in the nucks recap |
holy fuck @ 5:30 bure is a rocket!!! no one can do that in the current generation. Even though the play is faster here, guy is on another level... |
How many goals do u think Bure could score in the current NHL? Posted via RS Mobile |
I don't like these kind of era comparisons. I find goalie technique (and the rest of the game) has evolved quite a bit. Some of the ways goalies got scored on a decade+ ago is just :fulloffuck: Not to say Bure wouldn't still be very good and very fast with soft hands in today's standards. But comparing numbers is just going to be speculation at best. |
Speculation is fun :) Some of Bure's strongest seasons were right in the middle of the clutch and grab era. I think in today's game Bure can probably be at Stamkos' level. He is not head and shoulders above the elite snipers of today's game IMO, but back in his day totally. Ovi in his prime was a similar type of player, except Ovi is definitely more physical. Bure was no sissy, he could stand up for himself just fine, but he was never a player you would expect to lay you out at any time. Goalies technically are much better nowadays, which is so amazing that Brodeur has been able to stay at the level he has been in for so long playing his extinct stand-up style. The game has gotten faster all around, everyone is much bigger, and the technology has also changed to help all players. |

NHL Shift Charts I would assume it starts around the 48 minute mark. It looks like between minute 48 and 51, he played 45 seconds, went off for 25 seconds, then played another 110 seconds after that. |

Breaking news in the Crosby situation. Crosby practices again, remains noncommittal on return "No time table for return" I am so fucking sick of hearing "no time table for return" and it being a god damn news story. |
I hope he takes his time..too much talent to waste if he takes another big hit. |

For precautionary reasons, I wouldn't mind seeing Crosby sit out another month and return just in time / just before the playoffs. |
Everyone will be gunning for him regardless of when he gets back. He needs to embrace his role, stay out of bad situations and let the actual tough guys do their thing. |
The only current player I would say is close to bure's style of play is Gaborik. Posted via RS Mobile |
