It doesn't go by more wins; it goes by more non-shootout wins...St.Louis has more non-shootout wins than the Canucks and, therefore, St.Louis gets the tie-breaker...

San Jose scares me to to play them in the first round.

Well, in 4 games this regular season, we've beat them 3 games to 1. Hope that takes a scare a bit away from you.

I'm not sure who to pick... San Jose would be a fun series, but you can expect them to play a bit edgy considering we took them out last conference finals

Detroit plays Chicago tomorrow. Nashville plays Colorado.
If Detroit beats Chicago and Nashville loses, Detroit will move into 4th and Preds will move into 5th, which would be huge for Detroit, considering how good they have been at home and how bad they have been on the road.
However, if Chicago beats Detroit in regulation, Chicago would hold the tie-breaker and that would put Chicago in 5th and Detroit in 6th.
