http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...448959903.html Super practical cars, there are quite a few too, I would probably spend a bit more and get one of the zx3/zx5 models because I love the look |
A 2000 hyundai accent may fit in your budget, if you don't mind it's fit and finish that is... |

DO NOT BUY A NEON for 2 g's. It'll be costing you much more then that in short order. |
OP, you know insurance going cost you an arm and leg right? You can't just get away by spending $2000 bucks and be able to drive on the road already.... |

http://www.wired.com/images/productr...ing_bike_f.jpg Get this, small, no gas, good for the city and afforable. Then save some money and get a real first car. |
Insurance + gas + maintenance is going to get you if you're really strapped for cash. I had a lot of money before I got my first car. When I inherited a well mantained vehicle as a gift for free much of that extra money went away But I have heard you folks in Montreal have very affordable insurance compared to us BC folk. You're better off dropping the year 2000 requirement and getting something like this http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...452732309.html |

I know its not exactly the year you're looking for. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...456508785.html |
2000+ Saturn SL1/SL2/SC1 fits your bill. Fairly reliable, but you get what you pay for with loud engine noise. |
