High End CPUs - Updated 3rd of July 2011
Not sure how accurate this site does benchmarks

Intel Core i3-2120 @ 3.30GHz Scored 3,975

AMD Phenom II X4 925 Scored 3,454

Intel is better for gaming. but its almost double the price..

Get the 2120, it's not even really as close as that "score" indicates for the most part. The AMD's "score" is most likely boosted by the few things it does faster due to its 2 extra cores (3D rendering, pure arithmetic calculation)

But for "gaming and minor multitasking" Intel is the way to go.

Get my i5-760(http://www.revscene.net/forums/used-computers-personal-electronics-only/648850-fs-intel-i5-760-quad-core-msi-p55a-g55-motherboard.html)

Way better than the two that you mentioned. Also scores 4,558 on the chart above.
