You can also go to Williams Machinery in Richmond or Leavitt Machinery in Coquitlam.

I worked in warehousing for years, including supervisory roles and hiring. A forklift license is nice to have, but without forklift experience it's really not that useful.

I know many of our warehouses will train upon hiring, most have certified instructors on-site.

Most warehouses have seniority, so even if you have license and can drive one its pointless. Most likely you'd have to work as a labourer first then once you get the hang of things they might train you to drive a forklift.

Warehouse jobs really suck the life out of you, it's VERY monotonous and depressing. After working for 2+ years, I realized I pretty much wasted those years. The money may be good at a young age, but theres better jobs out there.

Warehouse employees are composed of retards, dropouts, and the uneducated. Also, the supervisors and managers will take advantage of you. This is what I've noticed at majority of the places I've worked at. Although, I can't say for all places...this is just a general observation. Thought you should know.

^ I felt the drain in the first WEEK of getting hired at a warehouse. Pay was decent for a HS student at the time, but I couldn't take the work environment and got out three weeks after being hired.

Last 2 posts are pretty acurate.

Only good thing Is I don't know much jobs that pay the way they do, and you can work as part time as you like.

They don't make steps to make the job better (put radios in work zones, dim/orange lighting, firing unstable employees etc..)

Money's good, and the hours can be OK, but avoid it all costs.

I've been at one since highschool and I've finally said fuck it and I'm switching careers. I can't quit yet, but I'm willing to take on shitloads of student loans than work in that hellhole.

I'm working at one because I like the hours 6pm-2am. Gives me options during the day if i have the energy but im young =]. its all about fast hands and fast feet but it sucks when the make me work 5+ hours at the same spot. Also i stand out there because i'm young and the assholes are always talking shit about me even when im right in front of them but i work my ass off and at the end of the day they can stfu lol.
