I don't see how this is funny. Pranking your friends might be fine, but you just wasted 2 hours of a guy's time. How would you like it if a random stranger picked up a friend's phone, then decided to make your life miserable by "pretending to be in distress"?

Did you just do this to a random guy? That's sort of a dick move...and a huge ass waste of time, really. Pranking a friend is one thing but I don't quite get the "I wasted two hours of some random guy's time and also two hours of my own."
