Anyone here recently try speed dating or know of any places?
Google isn't exactly the best place to search. I rather hear from members their stories if it's worth trying out and most importantly, fun.

i noe a couple friends that have done it. they said it dosent really work (when your actually trying to find someone) cause u get to see the person for like 25 seconds. but if ur just trying to have fun i would give it a go

hold on a second.. first of all, there are some common rules you should know. there is one actually coming up on monday i believe. they had one during one of the canucks play offs which was stupid and they had to reschedule it.
you do NOT get 25 sec. you get a good 3-5 minutes to talk to someone. you have to make a good impression. Before you go, please try to dress nice, by no means a tux but you know what i mean. Do bring a book / pen and write shit down. IF you don't at hte end of hte dates , you'll have nofooking clue wtf went on. lastly, if you're going to do it, PLEASE be on your A++ game. If you're 21 you won't have fun. If you're 28 live at home, have nothing interesting to tell, you'll fail. If you're a boring guy that only talks about your own job and have no hobbies, can't put on a good smile.. you won't have fun either.

The key is to relax and not go into the event with any expectations. If you make at least once match, you've done enough.

Ok guys
So I went to the speed dating event last night at Sin Bin from Rendezvous Club.
The event took place in the private back room and was exactly how I pictured it; a long table with chairs each side and lettered plate cards.
Upon signing in, you get a free drink voucher, notes paper, and a DateCard
The Date Card has all the girl's names on it and it is where you say "YES" if you want to get to know that girl more.
So they made the guys move around the tables after every 5min dates and in the end you submit your date card and in 24-48hrs they will give you emails to matches where you said "YES" to the girl on your datecard and if the girl said "YES" as well.
Overall it was a fun experience, my first time actually. I would definitely try this again.

If you're on the fence about it, I think you should try it at least once. At least you know that 1. most of the women are single and that 2. they'll be forced to talk to you for at least 2-3 minutes. I've had many nights of bar hopping, etc. and I can't think of many nights where I've met 10-20 different women in the same night.

Well for the 25-35 event that I went to, I was definitely in the lower part of the spectrum at 26. Most of the women there looked to be in their early 30s, although there were a few younger ones around my age there.
It really depends. I think Rendezvous club also has a 19-27 event too, just gotta check their site for updates.
I really encourage you guy/girls to give it a try. Its something worth experiencing.

update: just got my email back and I got a couple of matches
anyways sorry guys for missing out some important info.
The girls there were OK. There weren't any that I saw that were a smoking 10. Most of them to me were just average 5-6 range, and a couple were just ewww for me. There were a couple cute ones and those were the ones I got "yes" matches with. Maybe I have high standards.
