Since 1999, Blizzard fans have dreamed about what it would be like to play a StarCraft MMO. I was one of these fans and our dreams are slowly becoming a reality. Though StarCraft Universe will not be a full scale MMO, it takes the team oriented raiding style of World of Warcraft and combines it with many slasher action RPG elements of Diablo.
We are working hard to have this mod for Starcraft II meet the eyes of the public as soon as we can.. but until then visit our website at www.starcraftuniverse.org to find out more information!
And if you think about it, the engine for Starcraft II doesn't lend well to being an MMO, even if it is just a mod. I'm guessing they can't put together as complex of puzzles as even the simplest WoW encounters since the programming wasn't intended for stuff like this.

Its not just a mod the guy created the game from scratch with the map editor. A lot of shit is possible with the editor, possibilities are limitless
If you look at WoW and Starcraft II, WoW is a much more complicated game even before the greater number of players present at the same time is considered. I don't think the Starcraft II engine is capable of a game experience similar to that of WoW.
For those of you who don't know, Modding and Programming are very complex hobbies/jobs.. the fact that he pulled this off shows how good he is.
