Haha I'm glad I'm not the only person who does that. I'm also glad they make their packaging so simple to reassemble

^you guys know they have free tool rental as well right? i mean i've bought a tool and used it once and returned it before too, but if its something that's expensive to buy, just use their free tool rental, and use it all you want...

Their return policy sucks depending on which store it is. The one near my place won't take back anything and make up excuses such as the box is dented, it's missing something that they make up, etc. If they do take it back they let you know that they are doing you a huge favour by taking it back. Also that location never have anything that's in stock during a sale even when you are the first one there on the first day of the sale. They say that they sold out when the sale just started not even half and hour ago. I think that location might be privately owned and I never shop at that location anymore. All the other location are great though.

^the only time ive had a problem with returns was when I bought an OBD-II scanner to check my CEL in my car and i went to go return it because it wouldnt link up to my car. The girl at the customer service told me that they do not take scanners back. I said where on the receipt or in your return policy does it state that? She went on and on how it's an electronic item and they won't take it back. I told her to get me the manager. She called him and he told her to take it back. She said "this time only we will take it back"... i just smiled and walked out

Canadian Tire is a joke. I bought a tent from there 6yrs ago and got it home and the wrong tent was in the box. So I go to return it and the mgr wouldnt take it back because he said I switched tents. Fuck I was mad.

And just to let you know Canadian Tire will only exchange mastercraft tools now if you have the original receipt. With out it they will tell you they don't have to warranty it. That has happened to a couple of buddies the last couple of weeks.

they wouldn't just pull one from a new set and give it to me

Thats even better! break one tool return set and get a whole new set

I once broke 2, 1/2" drive ratchets, like completely broke the mechanism inside the ratchet and the cover fell off. I took it there, showed the manager and he gave me 2 brand new ones no questions asked.

Thats a bunch of bull, they are the only ones that make and sell mastercraft tools. They need to take it back if they are offering lifetime warrenty

What the FUCK? I thought CT had a "no questions asked" warranty policy? What kind of store has a lifetime warranty that requires the original receipt?

I'm gonna get my shit from Sears from here on out. I took a broken 5-year-old socket wrench there that I found in my shed, and they replaced it without question.
