LOL That idiot should have held the bucket, he would have at least been able to cut the spider in half.
easier said than done man...I've seen ones bigger than the size of a palm in asia..one thing getting ready to catch the damn bugger...another thing actually executing it.
I remember when i was younger i'd shock the annoying flies with a bug-zapper...then drop it onto a spider's web. I tried the same thing with a bee hoping it would put up a fight with a sting but it didn't happen.
Also another question... umm... if you use the computer cleaner air spray... won't it just blow the spider far away (possibly out of sight, or into a corner) ... how do you end up "freezing" it?

Turn the can upside down and spray; it comes out as a super cold liquid.
When I crashed on my buddy's couch there was a ton of spiders, roaches, silver fish, essentially anything that crawled. For shits and giggles we ordered up one of those mantis egg clusters from costco and just let it chill out on a plant in the basement and when they did finally hatch they took care of everything. There's only two or three of the big ones rolling around the basement now.
