Houseboating in Shuswap Lake? Been?

From what I read, it seems like something different to do over the weekend. Any comments? Saw the 50% off houseboat rental deal on Indulge Living | Daily Deal Vancouver and I'm considering it.

Is it fun?

What are things to do at night?

I'll probably be going with 3 other couples.

Was considering it last year then i read reviews (some on here if I recall) and was scared off about the cleanliness of the boats. If you go, going with a few couples should make it fun

a weekend isnt long enough really, 4 days would be the minimum for me and that would seem short

also if you've never driven a boat before, or are just a poor driver in general it wont be as fun and could cost your dearly because its the best pulling the houseboat ashore for parties fires etc. and its also nice to tow a ski boat along with you

My uncle has been renting the biggest house boat [i belive you can rent in north america] for the past 3 years at Shushawp, it fits 4 familys of 4-5 people and costs $18,000 for a week, but it's fucking massive, i want to say 100 feet

Ill be going houseboating for the 3rd time next month. Ive always had a blast. its basically like going camping on a houseboat. Its not gonna be hotel clean but its clean enough. If your really picky about that kind of stuff, maybe it isnt for you.

So you have to tie up on the beach at night. So, nightlife is what you make of it at the beach on the houseboat.
