In China, human life is cheap. Safety is expensive. Not cost effective to be safe. Its bad business. Liability and consequence don't exist. Just the way its always been.

this was human error and bad system design. The first train got hit by lighting and stalled, the attendant didn't radio in to the station behind to warn the upcoming train. Then again they should have some sort of safety system where they detect the proximity of trains, if 1 is close to you within a certain distance, there should be auto warnings and slow downs.

I think train runs on a token like system? Like the entire way is separated into different small sections (like 5~10 miles) and the system only give token to a single train going the same direction at any given time.

Maybe China's system is different?
