LOL why worry.

There are chargebacks for a reason.

CRS 07-27-2011 01:39 AM

:fuckthatshit:

No need to close down. By removing your CC, you should have no worries.

Unless your bank account is tied to paypal.

tool001 07-27-2011 02:18 AM

Lol @ people closing acc, removing cc info, u guys do know that if they (paypal) have ur cc on file , it stays on file and doesn"t get purged once u remove c card?? Transaction history details, card no. Stay on & if anon hits those files, they will have info regardless if u close ac or remove files!

Somehow I don't believe this. But I'll just remove my CC info for now.

Matlock 07-27-2011 06:08 AM

Removed credit card just incase.

Well...they are accomplishing exactly what they wanted to as evidenced by the posts in here.

I won't say it was particularly smart; just that ya'll are dumb.

I heard there will be a car accident tomorrow somewhere in the lowermainland. Should not leave your homes; better to be safe than sorry!

Not gonna bother closing my account but I'll remove my CC info anyways, if spending 5 secs to remove my card info might give me a small chance of going through the hassle of getting my shiet jacked then I'll take it.

SkinnyPupp 07-27-2011 07:27 AM

To those who closed your accounts, you just involuntarily participated in a "boycott" by basically being bullied into it. Anon is claiming 25K people have "boycotted" paypal, and the only way you can close accounts now is to do it by phone.

noTirl 07-27-2011 07:38 AM

just bought something last night with paypal
:fuckthatshit:

CP.AR 07-27-2011 07:48 AM

my paypal account has those pre-paid credit cards with my name in the wrong address
I think I have a $0.02 balance as well.

Im not gonna care. You know why? Because ANY unauthorized transactions on your credit card or bank account can be refunded. And with Online Banking, I can see all transactions done within a few days on CC, and immediately in bank acc. Buying stuff on ebay is so convenient with paypal, so I'm just gonna keep it the way it is for the sake that I will decide to buy something stupid tomorrow. Meh. Enough said. Hack me Anon.

Bingo, and my chequing acct associated with PP only has funds in it when I put them there

Some of you people sound like 80 year olds worried about people looking over their shoulder at an ATM

dont you guys understand 'better safe than sorry'?

of course there's chargebacks...but why go through the hassle of all that when you can easily remove your CC with a few clicks. Sounds faster than calling in and letting them take a few weeks to investigate.

shenmecar 07-27-2011 01:16 PM

If you are so afraid of your financial security, you might as well keep all your cash at home. Just in case the bank goes bankrupt.

You can even be super ghetto and put it inside an old cookie tin. =P

InvisibleSoul 07-27-2011 01:16 PM

All this because person who wrote article didn't check facts.
