Quite simply, we, the people, are disgusted with these injustices. We will not sit down and let ourselves be trampled upon by any corporation or government. We are not scared of you, and that is something for you to be scared of. We are not the terrorists here: you are.

We encourage anyone using PayPal to immediately close their accounts and consider an alternative. The first step to being truly free is not putting one's trust into a company that freezes accounts when it feels like, or when it is pressured by the U.S. government. PayPal's willingness to fold to legislation should be proof enough that they don't deserve the customers they get. They do not deserve your business, and they do not deserve your respect.

if your credit cards and bank info is connected, im not sure if they can access it or whatever. i rarely use paypal myself too, but im closing it to make sure.

Anon has been hitting everything lately. Instead of trying to arrest these people companies need to beef up there security.

Well if these guys are able to hack into large corporations, you can be sure they will be able to retrieve any deleted information.

It won't let me remove my bank info, says there is a pending transaction in process.

Edit Edit: Also my bank account information that I can find doesn't match what they want, so can't remove or change a bunch of details OR close the account. The account number on my statement doesn't match.

I also can't see how to cancel the account. The directions I find don't work in my account.

Bank info removal should be under the add/edit bank account menu.

So they are taking all the money in peoples accounts and donating it to charity?

In a recent tweet, Anonymous claimed 10,000 customers had closed their accounts and issued instructions on how to remove details from PayPal, including credit card numbers.

It's possibly a social engineering game, getting everyone to panic and drop their PayPal accounts.

I had nothing in mine and haven't used it for jack all in forever so closing it would be no problem for me..... if I were able to.

Can only close by phone now apparently.
