Property Management?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not please move. I have a house in the Clayton area of Cloverdale. I'm thinking of moving back to Sask. to work but I want to end up back in BC at some point. I was thinking of going anywhere from 2-5 years. If I go I'd just rent out my house here and rent something there.

I've never rented out a home before. I have a 2600sqf near new 5 bedroom home that I'm hoping won't get trashed. Anyone use a management company their happy with? I'm curious if anyone would also know roughly what they charge for looking after a home?

I manage 34 units in Nanaimo and have a condo in Maple ridge. My Dad, brother and sister also have property in the Mainland and all use Chi-Fu Chen. He has been great.

They usually start at around 1 month rent and 5-6% off the top per month.
