Just got lucky with Brewery Creek's shipment (Main & 14th). They placed 8 bottles in the fridge and I asked how many they have in stock. Turns out they received a case, so I bought all 24 for almost $100.

Expensive though, it's works out to be about $4.20 a bottle. :okay:

In Hawaii, they had stacks and stacks of them at Don Quijote supermarket for about $2.30 a bottle, but I couldn't bring back any without checking in baggage.

Expresso 09-16-2011 07:50 AM

Jeez, $2 only!

sonick 09-16-2011 07:54 AM

Holy shit $100 for 24!

unit 09-16-2011 08:45 AM

I have been trying to find them for the past 3 months. $4 a pop at home > $7.50 at restaurants.

BC Liquor Store on Ackyroyd and 3 (Pricesmart mall) has had cases in stock on a fairly regular basis the past few months.

You can do a special order through BC Liquor. There will be a minimum quantity to purchase. You can check their details on their website on how to order. I've done this before.

How good are they at getting in some pretty small time obscure stuff?

There's this local beer I had in San Diego called Alesmith Nautical Nut Brown that completely blew me away, I need to get my hands on more haha.

Doesn't hurt to ask, if they can get it they will.

If you're patient enough, they'll source it out to the best of their abilities. They search across the country through distributors and other provincial liquor branches to see if the product is available.

You should try to contact the brewer first to see if there are any distributors in Canada before contacting BC Liquor.

RabidRat 03-16-2012 03:26 PM

I looked on their website, they only have distribution in California which doesn't even include SF Bay Area. Really small lol.

So BC Liquor Store will only go through Canadian distributors? I tried Firefly on Cambie yesterday and it seems they have that same limitation.

I'm not entirely sure. Only way is to try and find out. :D
