It's all fine and dandy till you are the one they steal from. You spend millions on marketing, advertisements and years to build up a name and some scrub shit copies it and makes millions at your expense.

I know there were tons of fake stuff before the explosion of china but these guys are so blatant and bold about it that its really offensive even to someone who is not affected by them.

Does the government encourage this fakery to happen as some sort of economic tactic to keep money from leaving China?

the government turns a blind eye to most things that don't threaten them directly. It leads to an ironically "free" life, if you don't mind having no rights as a human. To expats and others, such things don't matter so it can be really fun for them

Saw some guy in Taiwan wearing a knock off Puma jacket except it looks weird.

So, after close inspection.....I see that hair have been added to the puma logo and the letter PUMA has been replaced by LION..............now that's creativity...... ahahaha

That's a line of clothing in Japan, it's done on purpose as satire, not really a ripoff

fake Iphone 5 in China already (looks like an touch) for a much much better price

Quote:
In the meantime, check out this KIRF "iPhone 5" we found in Beijing -- a Java-powered handset that's slimmer than the Galaxy S II and a bit laggy, but boasts a multitouch capacitive screen. Asking price? ¥680, or about $106.
