Very sad

But Jamie Oliver is an awesome cook and you gotta respect what he's trying to do with all his new shows. I enjoy his cooking shows a hell of a lot more than his newer food education ones (Food Revolution, Ministry of Food, School Dinners), but it's a great cause.

So because the chicken meat is ground up instead of a "nice" chunk of breast, it's supposed to be bad for you? Jamie Oliver is such a fucking fail. It's great that he doesn't want kids to eat crap, but it also doesn't mean they need to eat what HE thinks is good.

I love how the little kid smirks at 1:08 when Jamie's talking about the breast and it being the BIGGEST part of the chicken. We all know what he was thinking about

I would like to think a fresh chunk of chicken leg is better than:

-Grinding up all the chicken leftovers
-Processing
-Freezing
-Recooked at some shitty, McDonalds joint

It's not the ingredients (maybe it is), but the overall process.

Fried Chicken McNuggets are not better than homecooked meals made from fresh Chicken, and I think that's his message.

How is his chicken nugget simply chicken meat ground up? Maybe the ground up fat, bones, stabilizers and flavour (he didn't even mention the large amount of corn, corn meal, dextrose, lecithin, modified corn starch, hydrogenated corn oil, citric acid and TBHQ that is in your McDonalds Chicken McNuggets) is supposed to be bad for you.

Chicken, water, salt, sodium phosphates.

Battered and breaded with: bleached wheat flour, water, wheat flour, food starch-modified, salt, spices, wheat gluten, paprika, dextrose, yeast, garlic powder, rosemary, partially hydrogenated soybean oil and cottonseed oil with mono- and diglycerides, leavening (sodium acid pyrophosphate, baking soda, ammonium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate), natural flavor (plant source) with extractives of paprika.

Prepared in vegetable oil (Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness). Dimethylpolysiloxane made of silicone is added as an antifoaming agent.

The list may be slightly different outside of the United States.

doesn't sound that bad at all

Umm but all that crap you described had nothing to do with his demonstration. All he did was inadvertently show that kids actually aren't as stupid as he thinks, at least until they become brainwashed. The nuggets he made were perfectly fine, despite all the nasty words and actions and sound effects he made. If he wanted to make chicken mcnuggets look really bad, he could have done a much better job of it than this. But he's an idiot, so it just blew up in his face.
