| Which shoes are more comfortable Cole Haan or Allen Edmonds
Any experiences with either of these brands? I usually wear steve maddens, they are pretty good, but I was looking to upgrade between either Allen edmonds or Cole haan.
Any advice would be appreciated.

i've bought 2 pairs of cole haan from the outlets since it is cheaper and i usually buy them on clearance, they are pretty darn comfy, my co-worker bought a pair of allen edmonds and they look really well made, but a steep price tag. They were $200 during Nordstrom's annual sale, compared to my cole haan shoes that were $50 each at the outlets

...Why don't you just go to a store and try on both, find out for yourself?

little different. When you go to a store when you try it on it may feel like they are ok but to really know if they are comfy you have to wear them for a longer duration. (couple of months to really know if they are comfy)
I've never tried on cole haans (heard great things) and I lost my new pair of allen edmonds on a business trip. (long story, didn't have the shoe long enough)
thanks for the input tho.

Never tried allen edmonds but I was looking at one of their brown ones the other day at Nordstrom. Awesome looking shoes.
Cole Haans makes good shoes, especially good looking (subjective, I know) oxford and boots. I have a friend that only wears Cole Haans. He has a couple boots and casual shoes. No complaints from him and the shoes age pretty nicely.
Check out their site. They are having a 30% sales right now on their website. Just go to Harry Rosen to try them on for fit / sizes then order online from Cole Haan.

I've owned both, but I prefer Cole Haan.
The outlet stuff is nice, but you should try some of the boutique stuff, its pretty high end for a nike related company :-P

Invest in a very good pair of shoes if you can - go with the AEs.
Very well made, high quality shoes.
