its just fans/people leaving their mark. some just for fun and others as a memorial for people who died on the ring iirc

murd0c 09-06-2011 01:19 PM

Ah ok thanks. I would think that could be a distraction or something like that

:failed: As RRxtar mentioned 7:50 puts that bone stock $12,000 motorcycle in contention with some pretty serious cars.

urrh 09-07-2011 04:16 PM

i've never seen a windshield more full of bug splatter

CanadaGoose 09-07-2011 07:12 PM

Hahahah it seemed like he was a bit unsure what to do with Karussel @ 5:45.... hardly designed for a bike :D

Awesome riding and sweet video!

I guess he can said it is slow since some have done it under 7:30 on other liter bikes

either way.... it takes amazing skills (and guts) to get anything close to these lap times on a bike

btw...the gyroscopic camera gives a much more realistic view on what the rider sees vs a fixed camera.

RRxtar 09-09-2011 04:46 PM

did i see somewhere you can get a gyro mount for gopros now?

Not yet no. A quality gyro mount is very expensive (thousands) so I don't think we'll see them produced en mass for a while.

Mancini 09-12-2011 05:15 PM

That's more fun than doing 7:00 in an enclosed cage.

Wheelie at 4:31

Those are a lot of fun. At those speeds when the front tire comes off the ground the air pressure on the underside of the bike pushes it up. You can usually keep it pinned in full tuck and you feel weightless while still getting full acceleration. Love it :fullofwin:

if anyone can, its gopro, the company that made you able to mount a nearly indestructible and waterproof HD camera to your bike, for under $200 will figure it out for the masses.

shit i remember before gopro we would be duct taping $1000 camcorders to our bikes. man times have changed.

JD¹³ 06-06-2012 01:30 PM

Bumping this to add a new video of a new two-wheeled record just set at the Nurburgring: 7:10 with traffic
