seakrait 09-07-2011 05:24 PM

if you think this is crazy, check out what he's doing next!

info starts at 5:50 mark.

TL;DW: he practiced at the Crack (in Switzerland) because he's going to fly through a rock arch in a mountain in China in September.

but seriously, watch the whole video. tells about his life thus far, why he got into the sport, etc. crazy.

XplicitLuder 09-07-2011 06:05 PM

i'd crap myself as soon i'd jump from the cliff

yeah, that part of the vid, where it shows his buddy on that fateful flight right up until he hits the bridge, was pretty chilling.

mmmk 09-07-2011 10:38 PM

my buddy has those zeal goggles, he uses them for boarding tho. so sweet.

optiblue 09-07-2011 11:50 PM

So he made it through Tienamen Mtn. in China. He hasn't uploaded his own vid yet. IMO his practice run in Switzerland looked a lot harder since he was able to hit such a small target.

Unfortunately, I don't think his vid from China will be as epic as Grinding the Crack since it was overcast/foggy.

SpartanAir 10-04-2011 09:12 AM

Awesome. Still amazing to watch, although I agree this looked much easier than the Swiss flight with the balloon. He came so close to the ground in that one so therefore felt more dangerous.
The target of the huge hole in the mountain was pretty big, in fact landing on that small bridge was almost more impressive.

fliptuner 10-04-2011 09:15 AM

Haha, that's what I thought at the end too. In the first vid he came 8-10' from the ground to hit a specific target, where as that hole is huge (like bigger than a hotdog through a hallway type huge).

spoon.ek9 10-04-2011 09:24 AM

this guy was on Conan recently. amazing videos!

Durrann 10-04-2011 07:02 PM

Wow
When he almost touched the ground I flinched

Last month I heard that he crashed and didn't get much detail on it, so I assumed he died. I just found this:

It's pretty amazing that he still seemed to have his wits about him to pull his chute and land.

Looks like he put a big gash in his shin, requiring a skin graft and busted three toes. Not bad for crashing at 120mph.

Wow, talk about balls of steel...

punkwax 04-02-2012 04:42 PM

Wow! How did I miss this thread.... that guy is CRAZY.

rsx 04-02-2012 05:04 PM

I would've passed out once my legs shattered on those rocks. Insane how he managed to pull his chute.

Formation flight. So close to each other.
