when the penalties are almost non-existent, why restore it?
They likely calculated the clean up cost in their profit forecast, but when managers are looking to get huge bonuses, they cut restoration expenses, giving themselves big fat year end bonus.
Actually, I meant the fact that the restoration is actually happening.

A driver of a Lamborghini worth nearly $400,000 has earned a $568 fine from Richmond RCMP—an amount the 22-year-old driver protested was too high.
Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, an RCMP officer pulled over the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador for a suspected licence plate violation in downtown Richmond, according to a news release issued Wednesday afternoon.
“When the police officer stopped the driver, he soon realized that the car was not insured,” said Cpl. Robert McDonald.
“When the officer gave the driver a $568 fine for not having insurance, the driver actually complained the fine was too much money.”
Police had the 700-horsepower sports car towed away.
The driver, a West Vancouver resident, is also the registered owner of the vehicle.

How about making a jewelry store that doesnt need you to walk in through a door, get isolated with the people working inside the store, with thick walls where normal samaritans cant see you?
