It’s a ramen restaurant. I’m seated not even a foot away from their table. Can’t take a photo with out looking like a weirdo. Plus spy balloon is there constantly giving me the evil eye.

Well, is it really Michelin starred if it was awarded in Tokyo and it's a chain?
It's like QuanJude was given a star here in Vancouver but I doubt all the ones in Beijing can claim it for themselves.

We just came back from HK. The observation we had were, the China chicks aren't of the same quality as Vancouver. Walking in TST and there was really only 1/100 that looked good. And the whole rosy eye blush thing is weird.
And holy shit the China kids have terrible manners. The local kids are actually courteous and knows to share, the fucking China kids shoved my not even 2 year old to get to a button on the wall she was playing with. I proceeded to human wall blocked the kid out next time he approached. Another kid shoved my son as well, and the whole thing was  | |

That's the main way Mainland visitors will stand out. If there's a line for something, and if there's an inch available near the front, they will try to take it. And then others try to fit in, and it ends up being a huge jam, with pushing and shoving. Happens for EVERYTHING.

I got a standing desk and started to stand from 9-5 without even sitting down on my gaming chair - guess the next progressive thing is to get a walking pad....
Walking pad anyone? Tips? Bought one before? which one to stay out of

^my friend, just do 50 push ups and 50 squats daily, and you won't need the walking pad. Save you some money.
If you install a pull up bar too and can get up to 50 per day on that, your life will be set.

I did do the standing for a long time during covid, but I found when I really needed to think, I would need to sit down.
