I find people will favor their first experience with FF, for many people that was 7. For me, 6 will always be king and 10 runs second. I wonder if they'll throw in 10-2...
I bet SE is saving the FF7 remake as their last ditch hail mary to save themself from bankruptcy.

if by more suited to todays gamers,
you mean mashing the auto attack button for the first 10 hours of the game, walking in a straight linear line for the next 20 hours, and watching a really long shitty movie, with no likeable characters,
then I am afraid of what future games have to hold.
anyone who think 13 was good, is in denial/square fanboy,
you cant compare the story / gameplay of 13 to any of the others so far, it was shit, just like X-2 was shit
I remember whipping through 13 in like 15 hours I think, and I thought to myself, "thats it? this is the worst game ever" I didnt even care about the story it was so bad, there was nothing epic about it.
how many hours did you spend breeding chocobo's in 7? or playing at the gold saucer? how many hours did you spend playing blitzball?
vs how many hours you spent walking in a straight line watching the physics of the characters hair
edit:
also the voice acting for this game was worse than sin

I didn't even finish XII, probably the biggest gaming disappointment for me since X was so good and we had to wait a long time for XII because of XI

13 looked nice but it wasn't a Final Fantasy game for me that's why I was hoping for VersusXIII i know those aren't traditionally like FF games but i was hoping it'd be better than FF13
I still blame Xbox for ff13s suckage
FF8 is my fav then FF7 & X are tied then Crisis Core
i started FF12 but never even got out of the city before i shelved it
never tried FF9

I'd also much rather have 10 than 7. 8 was the best imo | the moment you said "8 was the best imo" i disregarded everything you had to say.

god i hope they redo all the voice acting.
ffx had some of the worst of all time. the scene where they're laughing over the cliff made me freeze to death.

ff10 was kinda middle of the pack for me. 7 was the best because the story just really got to you. you'd actually care about the characters which you cant really say about the other ff games (maybe 8).
9 was underrated, i liked it.
