Just wondering. If I went to court and disputed a ticket. I plead guilty and got a reduction in fine plus time to pay... Do I have to pay on that date that was given? Or can I wait til the day my insurance is up for renewal and then pay? I rather have it sit there for a year.
If I recall correctly, there is no interest being accrued on the outstanding amount.
at end of your hearing, Judge will ask you how much time you need to pay off the ticket and depending on the amount $$ Judge sometimes Judge might ask you why do you need so much time for a small ticket then you will need to prove financial hardship ...etc
my last ticket, the judge granted a lot of the people that got proven guilty at least 3 months. I got 4 because i asked nicely. I also got the tickets 50% on top of that.
I'm pretty sure there's no interest on the tickets... The ticket just sits there. Most tickets are RTI- refuse to issue- which means, no transactions on insurance or driver's license.

Thanks! I'm going to just wait then because I jus renewed my insurance and my license doesn't expire for 3yrs.. Why pay early if the principle amount stays the same? Lol Posted via RS Mobile
