A wormhole is like a pin being shoved through the paper, connecting two points which otherwise wouldn't be connected directly.

A warp bubble or warp speed from nacelles from Star Trek is NOT the same theory as say BSG's FTL drive. The FTL drive actually moves the ship from one point to another by folding space. That's why they have to do exact calculations in order for it work. A warp bubble does not allow the instant transportation between 2 points. It simply allows the propulsion of the ship by providing the 2 nacelles with matter/antimatter and allowing them to create a displacement field.
Oh and BTW Zephrame Cochrane discovers warp speed in 2063... the way things are going that's not to far off for a prediction by Roddenberry!
Berz out.

So at max warp it wouldve taken them 70 years to get to the other side of it.

Lets say you wanted to travel back to November 5th, 1955. Going back in time 55 years and 46 weeks will put you in the middle of space. Hell, maybe even if you shot for the same day a year ago or a year in advance the rotation around the sun isn't exact so you may end up in space or in the middle of the Earth.
Time travel would be an extremely complex science that would likely have to involve years of historical study before we could try to perfect it. Hell. Imagine if you did go back in time in a space shuttle. Whos to say you wouldn't materialize in or around some sort of space debris. I think we would only be able to go forward, not backward.
If you had a designated co-ordinate in space, relative to the sun and the stars, where you would know someone is going to appear and when you could make sure that area is clean of debris. But you can only do that going forward, not backward.

Just a little update. More Evidence Against Faster Than Light Neutrinos - Forbes Quote:
Boston University physicists Andrew Cohen and Sheldon Glashow have just submitted a paper which casts more doubt on the claims that the OPERA team observed neutrinos that traveled faster than the speed of light. The paper, which you can read here, notes that neutrinos at the recorded energies that were travelling faster than the speed of light should should be radiating particles as the neutrinos were travelling. In particular, the neutrinos should should have been radiating electron-positron pairs. That process of decay would result in the particles losing substantial amounts of energy.
Using baseline calculations and looking at the data from several other neutrino experiments, Cohen and Glashow demonstrate that from the neutrino starting energies that OPERA claimed, the neutrinos that arrived in Italy at the OPERA detector should have seen most of their energy depleted. That energy depletion would have resulted in a spectral distortion detectable by OPERA. However, the OPERA data did not show either the energy depletion or the spectral shift.
Of course, this doesn’t completely eliminate the possibility that the neutrinos traveled faster than light. If another, independent investigation confirms OPERA’s results, then there must be some mechanism preventing the decay of superluminal neutrinos. Until such time though, this evidence provides further support to the opinion of most theoretical physicists I’m aware of – namely, that there were measurement errors in the OPERA experiment.
Time will tell, but the fact that the OPERA experiment didn’t match predictions based on other neutrino observations makes it more likely that the neutrinos detected did not, in fact, travel faster than the speed of light.
| TLDR; The Neutrino's that arrived in Italy that were "faster" than light should have lost their energies (based on neutrino experiments which lose their energy over time). This depletion of energy can be detected, but this data is not available at the moment.
