Anyone know about this group World Financial Group (WFG)?

I had a co-worker introduce me to her friend, who works there as a financial advisor..

A quick summuary of what has happened.
- Co-worker lets me know she has a friend who is a broker/financial advisor
- Gave me his number and told him I (+ another coworker) to call him
- I call him, we talk for about 5minutes quick introduction of myself
- He says he's friends with the director and will give me a good reference and try setup a interview

- At this point I DONT know which company he is working for atm.. I assumed it was a bank.
- I ask my co-worker what organize he works for, she says World financial group
- I do a quick google
- I find a bunch of random stuff on the organization like its a ponzo scheme/ marketing scheme... AKA a bunch of random bad shit about the company..


Now I dont want to dip my fingers into stuff like this.. so I decided to just call or text the guy back saying I did some research about the company and I dont think that its the type of company I would want to work for..

Would this be to direct? Also it seems ass like cause my co-worker introduced me and then I just reject the guy and say his company is a bit sketchy...

ponzi/pyramid scheme bro. they get you to join and you pay about $300 to learn their shit and they gonna use you to recruit your other friends and shit and you get a small cut and shit like that.

I've cut off friendships because of this bullshit.

they are similar in a sense to primerica / amway / quixstar -- as far as i know.

So many ppl doing this these days. Had a "wonderful" oppurtunity from a associate who was recently brainwashed and I told him straight up he will lose all his friends. Just yesterday I was approached on fb by someone haven't talked to in years, acting all friendly. Finally she got to the point, I told her No, and she became a bitch again.

I guess if you really wanted to it could work, but you need to be the type that likes to hound people and be prepared to be "that guy".
