Also, stretching tires just because it "looks cool" is stupid. You only stretch for fitment issues. If you're rolling on sunken wheels and have stretched tires, you're a ricer.

If you're running rims wider than required for the max tire size you can fit, you're a ricer as well... being stretched on small wheels just means you're bad at being a ricer.

You clearly didn't get my point.

I guess running this is more your style. THE TIRES ARE SQUARE!

I guess this guy's a ricer too. I mean, it's not like the car did 55's on Tsukuba.

Pic 1: Those are balloons

Pic 2: Those rims aren't wider than required, since that size of rim is roughly what you need for that size of tire if you don't want sidewall flex. That's also a purpose built racecar that isn't doing something stupid like trying to fit 195's on a 10" rim...

4x4ing? My front subframe scrapes some speedbumps. I also run wider tires than most people, and thats on a daily driver, not my project so I chose between buying more expensive rims, or buying more expensive tires. Tires > rims in case you can't figure that out.

what the hell are required sized rims?

^ rims that don't need to be wider than required? I'd assume there's some science going into choosing the width/size of a rim for a particular car when going to race track and lapping times. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
