That'd be a great deal then haha
but then the best would've been a rogers employee discount plus the $100 mastercard giftcard
I just got a 16gb PlayBook from FS to try it out with a mobilicity 9700. It's quite slow on it lol
Gonna try with my 9900 on Fido later.
Edit: nvm scratch that rs works fine on mobilicity. just couldnt stream for shit

It will only use as much as you would normally use on your Blackberry. My understanding is the bridging takes place via Bluetooth, no? I don't believe it will use any above and beyond the usual data it would normally consume.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Well, it'll use up more simply because the Playbook will view the full version of sites instead of the mobile version.

my BB friends are eyeing this after the price drop but for none-BB users like myself i'm not sure how much better it would be than another tablet such as a touchpad

i might be in the market for a tablet so i'm curious

well for speed, screen size i think touchpad wins

for camera the playbook wins

also the playbook is almost half the weight as the touchpad

HP TouchPad – 240 x 189 x 14 mm (740g)
BlackBerry PlayBook – 194 x 130 x 10mm (425g)

resolution wise
HP TouchPad – 9.7-inch (768 x 1024 pixels) display
BlackBerry PlayBook – 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display

webos is preety good to compared to playbook but that might change once the new update for playbook comes out

i want to tether internet from my blackberry to my touchpad(which right now has no apps or option available right now)

apparently you cant use AD-HOC for touchpads (this is the method i used to connect/tether my ipod touch to my blackberry)

i want to watch movies+browse shit on the internet thats my 2 main things

with the blackberry playbook it gives you 2 options

blackberry bridge ( which connects ur playbook to ur blackberry for bbm n shit like that)

and internet tether ( which lets you connect/tether internet from ur bb device to ur playbook)

sooo yeah lol

FS and BB fixed the error on their sites, its now just $399 for the 16GB, you can now only get the $100 gift card credit in store now. Last night it was applying to online so the final price for the 16GB was $299.

So does the playbook actually work with a 9900? If apple isn't releasing an iPhone 5 tomorrow, I'm planning on buying a 9900 + playbook combo.

^ Iphone 5 and Iphone 4S is definitely going to be announced tomorrow, but that shouldn't hold you off if you REALLY wanted the 9900/Playbook combo.
