Lense suggestions
I want to get my girlfriend a new lens for her birthday but really am not sure which to go with. She is using a stock 15-55 I believe on a d5000 body.

She really enjoys taking pictures everything, people specifically, but we will be also traveling through France for the next 4 months so this is a factor as well.

Just looking for some suggestions as I have no idea! I will hit up a camera shop after work today as well.

"Lense" is an alternate spelling. Both "lense" and "lens" are correct, but also technically incorrect as the term is actually for a single optical element. A 50mm f1.8 (for example) is several lenses fitted into a tube.
