with the amount of its falling down right now, it would get 5 to 10cm by noon

The snow made me check the condition of my all-seasons. I've never seen/felt my tires that bald. The remaining tread is just an illusion, and running my fingers over them felt smooth. Needless to say, my car is currently getting it's winters installed.

at about 8:45ish, saw some idiot in a black 5 series get stuck on Moscrop in the right turn lane just before Boundary, backing up traffic on Moscrop all the way past Smith. No doubt the guy was still on summers, good thing I was headed in the other direction and didn't get caught behind the idiot.

man every time i phone a shop they say you gotta wait 4hrs..with my job i cant even do that..anyone know any places that take appts to get my winter tires/rims installed?

I was able to make an appointment last year with Brian Jessel Autohaus and I know MCL and Burrard Acura also take appointments but that was for my Rover and TL so you can try calling your dealership.

Dropped off my TL at Kal-Tire today for mount and balance, 3 hour wait so I just called a cab for pickup.

Try hitting up PG Performance in Surrey. It's not a shop that would get high traffic for wheel mount/balance jobs so they should be able to do it in about an hour turn-around. Give them a call.

Google. Maps. "Vancouver Tire Shop". Start calling.

No kidding. I was out with mine (on winters, obv), and I drove by a dude in a newer 5 series driving real damn slow (on what had to be all seasons or summers). He looked at me, I smiled, waved, and drove on.

I always make a point of putting my winters on right around Hallowe'en.
Is it early? Of course, but it's well worth it.
