Where to get maple wood chips for bbq.

Im thinking of getting maple wood chips put em in tin foil put it on the barbie with some bbq chicken and see what happens. Basically a
experiment

anyone know where to get em? has anyone done this before?

pic would look like this.

my plan is put the tin foil pull of chips on high until wood starts smoking and then turn it on the lowest setting and place chicken and let it smoke slowly for a hour(?) or two

As mentioned above, Canadian Tire has maple wood chips.
ya i've done the chips in the foil pouch. works great. you dont even need to crank your bbq. they should smoke at about 150F.

Make sure to soak your wood chips, or at least 1/2 wet 1/2 dry. lol when i first tried smoking i didnt think i needed to soak em and the pouch caught on fire :P

heres a pic I posted in the grill thread because i didnt know we had a smoker thread :P

I did this is it halfway done. I took it out to add a bit more bbq sauce and seasoning and a couple of onion medallions on top.
