What recording equipment do you use?

Manic! 10-18-2011 11:57 AM

Please get some proper studio headphones.

For music production and creation, a safe bet would be the long-time industry go-to Sony MDR-V6/MDR-7506 (same headphone different model numbers). Good frequency response range, flat-sounding, durable, and relatively cheap.

Lol the only thing I would complain about was the recording quality sounds like a cell phone video but glad to know that you're going to take care of that

I don't know if it's just me but at around 3:00 mark it doesn't sound altogether especially with the violin

But keep up the good work!

k3lv 10-18-2011 01:23 PM

Cool cover, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thanks for sharing with us!

PornMaster 10-18-2011 01:28 PM

Your an audophile and use beats? LOL

unit 10-18-2011 02:38 PM

whats with all the audio elitists here?
the guy makes good music regardless of what headphones he uses.

It's like being a pretty pro home cook with a Ginsu 2000.
Does that analogy work for you?

Hope the new mic works for you :)

Would you tell a motorcycle rider to go buy a bicycle helmet?

Beats cost over $300. Pair of Shure sh440's for $99.

Beats are known to be bass heavy and that's bad for recording you need a pair of headphones that are flat and that don't exaggerate the bottom end. Studio headphones will help make his recordings better.

a pro cook with a ginsu can still do a much better job than an amateur with a wusthof.

Greenstoner 10-18-2011 03:44 PM

not true.
I had the worst knives when I started at a new resteraunt... everything was pretty badly cut and took longer than usual

unit 10-18-2011 04:42 PM

to be fair the beats are not the ginsu equivalent in the headphone world even if they arent studio headphones.
anyway sorry didnt mean to derail the thread i'll be quiet now ;)

wobuffet 10-18-2011 05:27 PM

thanks for the tips on headphones! i will definitely look into buying a new pair of studio headphones :)

the song that i played might not be everyone's taste, but feel free to leave some song requests/suggestions of what you'd like to hear :)

Durrann 10-18-2011 05:36 PM

Berzerker 10-18-2011 05:45 PM

I have a pair of KRK KNS-8400s, they're awesome, especially for the price ($150 + tax).
