Crave on Main has a good poutine. Not so much a saucy gravy as actual roast beef on the fries. Mmmmmm.

 @ all the cheap asses on RS.

It's a FESTIVAL meant to celebrate Quebecois culture which INCLUDES ayce poutine for $20. Its not a restaurant where you sit down and try and eat $20 worth of poutine.

drunkrussian 10-25-2011 06:05 PM

for $20 i can get four large orders of poutine and only finish 1.5 of them. great that something like this is coming but pricing is ridiculous. if it was really a celebration of poutine and they wanted us to try different ones while still earnig money they shudda charged $3.50 for a small portion of poutine at each vendor. then id try 3 or 4 for 11.50-14 bucks

wrong. the festival is entirely about poutine. hence the name "the poutine festival"

Yes poutine is the focal point, but if your pointing out $20 is too much for poutine, you're kind of missing the point imo

I'll agree that 20 bucks is asking too much. Should have been nominal admission and u can purchase different kinds of poutine from various vendors. Face it, even if it's ayce, how much can u really eat.

fliptuner 10-25-2011 06:38 PM

Ding ding ding ding ding

I'd totally pay $5-$8 admission to purchase different recipes from different vedndors.

I think 20 bucks is fine.. its ALL you can eat. If i prepare for it im sure i can eat 20 dollars worth. And there's going to be so many different poutines. mmmmMmm poutine

flagella 10-25-2011 10:10 PM

Having been to a lot of poutine places including Brado's, I still like Costco one at the end.

Obsideon 10-25-2011 10:17 PM

:sweetjesus: ... Poutine is the BEST food EVAR!

But let me get this straight... so at this festival.. you can't individually order poutine?... you must get the $20 All-You-Can-Eat?... I'm down for some good poutine... but AYCE seems excessive... it would have been great if all the best poutine shops around town came together and opened vendors so we can try them all ... Brado's, La Belle, Fritz, Belgian Fries, etc ... would have been EPIC! :fullofwin:

Cost - Day (Adult): Free & Free for kids too (great deals on Poutine! With activities for kids & teens)
I'm pretty sure if you go during the day time, you get in for free and buy poutine off different vendors.

you guys are all complaining about 20$ for admission and ayce poutine. but its not only the poutine. There are activities and other events going on as well besides the food (shit ain't free). 20$ isn't bad at all.

too bad no one to go with :alone:

Vale46Rossi 10-25-2011 10:36 PM

Oh my.

you! 10-25-2011 10:53 PM

poutine is one thing the Quebecois have done right.
i don't think i can eat $20 worth of poutine though. sober that is. with a bit of organic assistance i'm sure a few of us rs'ers will clear the place out no problem.

minoru_tanaka 10-26-2011 12:19 AM

Eat $20 of potatoes, cheese and gravy? Next day will be a rough one

Costco poutine is alright, just that the gravy could be poorly made.

Hopefully they sell both at the exit

optiblue 10-26-2011 05:23 PM

for $20, I rather go to uncle willies and have my gravy fries with meat.

Meowjin 10-26-2011 05:31 PM
