The telus one will work since it's the same one as t mobile's (T989(D), with bands 850 / 1700 / 2100) :alonehappy:
The rogers one will not work since it's a different variant (i727(R))

Yes, the telus galaxy s2x will work on mobilicity. I ordered mine off telus webstore and after I got it in the mail, I got an unlock code off a website. don't know if i can post the name.

Just have to change a few settings on the phone so it looks for the mobilicity 1700 band first instead of telus. Just pm me if you do, too lazy to look it up right now.

When you search "Galaxy S 2 X" or any variation thereof, it shows up as the "Samsung Hercules" on GSMarena...which is probably what is causing that confusion.

phone is identical except for branding. it WILL work. Telus/T-Mobile = same.

beware, the Rogers LTE one will NOT work.

to keep from roaming and acquire signal faster:

go to phone app and dial *#*#4636#*#*
choose first option, then scroll to bottom and change to WCDMA.
hit back button.
go to settings
then wireless and network
then mobile networks
network mode
change to "WCDMA only" also
now select Network operators
Default setup -> Manual
it will then search for network (may take a few minutes)
pick Mobilicity or (i think) 304302 (ends in 302 for sure) thats Mobilicity's ID.

this will also prevent you from call ROAMING too so be warned.

if you have to roam, just reverse the steps back to "Auto prl GSM/WCDMA"

also make sure to turn off data roaming in settings too.

also you can freely change roms with T-mobile's too. I'm using the Juggernaut 3.65 ROM. see XDA Developers website for more details HERE

a bit of a noob but if unlocked will the hercules(I like the chrome band) work on the rogers network?

Yes, Robellus (Rogers/Bell/Telus) all share the 850Mhz band, so if you can use it with one, you can use it with the others.
