Samsung Hercules/Telus Galaxy S2 X/T-Mobile Galaxy S2 etc. ok, so this phone is basically a Galaxy S2 but has the AWS frequency(I'm on Mobilicity) and slightly different shape. super amoled plus screen, 800X480 resolution, Dual core, 1500 MHz, Qualcomm APQ8060, 16GB storage and Micro SD up to 32GB. no home button and rounder. I had considered the Galaxy Nexus but found out there is NO microSD slot again nor a 32GB version slated for release, I think I will pass on the monster phone. which brings me back to the Hercules. http://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/p...I-T-Mobile.jpg Telus is slated to release this this week IIRC and wondered if anyone else in town has this UNLOCKED, for sale. eBay has em for about $550 + shipping but i don't want to risk getting dinged for customs or deal with warranty issues internationally. the only unlock available seems to be through a generated code for $25 off eBay. or if you're a a t-mobile customer. EDIT: OMFG..I didn't realize the Rogers GS2 LTE is the same fucking phone... |
launched today from Telus $599 well selling off my Nexus S now (see BST forum). Ordered a T-Mobile unit off eBay. |
The unlock process should be similar. IE. installing the app from the market. You'll need to check XDA for root though. |

Too bad. Guess you can order an unlock code from Ebay. |
hopefully a free unlock arrives before my Phone does. went shopping on eBay for accessories too :D |
LOL. You and your accessories :P |
Doesn't look like there may be a free one. The files that were on the previous galaxy's that hold the simlock stuff is no longer found on the new ones. Samsung may have smartened up. Worse comes to worse you order a code from eBay for $24 I guess lol. |

it's $150 w/ 3yr contract? |
Planning to buy this phone from Bestbuy USA. (I have some credits left) Anyone know if they will price match the "suggested retail price" from T-mobile? |
Will they sell it outright? I know at&t won't. |

credits to rfd... if you buy this phone from the telus team store, its $9.99 on a 3 year contract and $510 outright no contract.. Just gotta find a friend that works at telus!~ (or someone nice enough to give you their access info since its for frds and family) i prefer original s2 design though =/ |

not everyone has memberships like us old men and $510 is a good price provided your purchase goes through. |
$10 on contract is pretty :megusta: |

i forgot to ask did anyone get theirs and unlock for Mobi/Wind? |
I think you're the first to here to get it. Everyone that was able to get it unlocked on XDA had to do it through T-Mobile or buy an unlock code. Edit. Confirmed on RFD that T-Mobile one works on Wind/Mobilicity once unlocked. |
sweet. just found out i just have to buy a MHL cable to use the TV out feature. micro USB -> HDMI adapter :fullofwin: |
last friday, when it was first launched, Telus posted the phone for $99 on ANY plan. Now they changed it to $99 on any $50 plan.......I wonder if anyone took advantage of that typo. =P |
