New Wheels for winter, opinions on them?

Just bought these yesterday, but still have 2 weeks till my Pirelli winter tires arrive. I got a few dislikes and likes about the wheels from friends and I personally rate myself 8/10 liking these wheels.

I still got some time to exchange these, but still a hard decision to make =s

What do you guys think about them? I would appreciate some truthful comments, thanks!

Is the polished part clear coated? If so, return them.

Salt will make its way into any small chip in paint, then spiderweb underneath. On painted rims we don't see this, yet when its just clear coat over polished metal it stands out like a sore thumb.

If its not clear coated and just bare metal, salt will pit the metal and you'll be polishing them every season.

Salt under clear coat:

Salt pitting bare metal:

Winter wheels, I think they're nice wheels as in for any season. Are they supposed to be reps of any wheels in particular?

This is my other choice if I exchange them.. they re the same as BMW CSL. It be interesting to see them on a c63.

And... the reason I m getting a new rim is because I don't want the salt to ruin my current 19" 16 spokes lols, they're more precious to me ahaha

The guy said they're replicas of E63, you can see the AMG on them, but unfortunately I cannot find the Part # for them =s

I was trying to get those for my W203 yet couldn't find a supplier that had the correct bolt pattern and offset.

There's tons of pictures of this type of wheel on W204s, and they look way better than the wheels you've picked:

The HRE is nice, but i don't want to drop that kind of flow for winter wheels haha

the first 2, so so

I was actually planning to get VMR 710s or TSW Nurburgring ... but unluckily they re both out of stock for a while

That sucks, I was going to suggest those as cheap alternatives. Sonic Tuning makes a similar wheel too yet I don't know if they have a W204 fitment, ask on MBWorld.

There's another manufacturer that makes a similar wheel too... dammit, cannot remember the name.

I got my stuff from Volco Tires, they re pretty good I think..

Also I need a style that will look good in 18", my dealership say my 19" are too big for winter tires, it will be better with 18s, I think less spokes look better in smaller rims? :s

Those look like forgestar f14's...?
I assume you're going to get replicas of these, especially for winter use?

Lol, for some of us we only have space for 1 car. It's cheaper to modify that car than to get another car just for winter.

They're VMR VB3 matte black, and yes I don't expect to get anything expensive since its gonna be ruined by the salt.

Yes its my DD, and no I think the c63 will be fine since many people from this benz forum says they do pretty good even in the snow with winter tires on

Imo the TSW Nurburgring with a bit of concave would look awesome on your car, kinda expensive though if you buy locally, they are pretty damn light though

Dude, stick with your original choice. VMR's are getting so played out now, everyone is putting the same matte black wheels on their cars. The wheel you've chosen adds contrast to your car.

For winter use they're fine, but like already mentioned the polished finish will probably look like ass after one bad season. So if you dont mind that, those are pretty nice winter wheels
