sure about that? I've been told by bodyshops that who waives or discounts deductible will lost the vendor licenses ... or that's just an excuse to make me pay full pop?

Does not say anything about deductibles, however what buddy said is true its illegal to have any discount towards a deductible. Penney Auto Body has been in the shits the past few years, good luck.
If icbc finds out that they discounted your deductible they have the right to void your claim and make you pay in full for the repairs.

you got proof waiving deductible is illegal??
what if customer pays deductible upfront but the shop refunds them afterwards. that's not illegal. just their ways of doing business.

Yes i have proof. Have you never heard of the scandle with speedy auto glass?
Yes it is fraud if a shop has discounted, returned or completley waived your deductible UNLESS you are not at fault.
Read what you sign, you have stated that you paid your deductible and no way has it been discounted or reimbursed. If the shop is caught there vendor number is pulled, your file will be reviewed and you signing the form have commited fraud.
Edit - There is aftermarket insurance companies that can reimburse a portion of the deductible if you have paid into there policy. I'm not sure why this is allowed.

to begin with, you shouldnt be paying a deductible for any repairs if you were found not at fault

^in a lot of cases, you can pay the deductible up front before the decision of liability is made to fast track the repairs. if you are found to be not at fault icbc returns your deductible, iirc.

Doesn't this place own Boom Plus Toys right next door? I don't know if they're still there but I've had bad experience with BPT and heard of even worst stories with that place. That's why I never do business at either one of these businesses since then and I also tell others not to go there. By the way this was 12 years ago. Even if the management or owners changed, I still wouldn't go there.
