G37 Coupe? I was considering upgrading sometime in the near future. Strongly considering an 08 G37 coupe. Love the car aesthetically and was wondering if you guys ever had any first hand experiences with the car driving it or riding in it or even own it? How do you feel the power is and what are some pros and cons? The deals look to be really good out there in my opinion. Around $25K-30K Im guessing it's obvious that it will be a dramatic power increase from my 03 RSX Base? Its just a 160HP Vtech. Any input appreciated, thanks |
Do you drive year round? Do you switch to winters/AS tires on your RSX? Gs are RWD and a lot of fun in slippery conditions. If you plan to drive in any snow/ice conditions, you'll need winter tires, and they can be expensive cause you'll need at least 17" to clear the brakes. |
Theres a bit of a review and opinions in this thread |

I had a spirited drive in my friend's G37S. 7AT Coming from a 335i, the G37's interior impressed me the most. You get a lot of nice features as standard. Also, the engine is quite good despite less torque. The car does feel a bit heavier than my 335i; I think the BMW handles the weight a bit better. The G37 also felt a bit loose coming out of fast corners. Overall, its a great car for its price and when you factor in other things like warranty repairs, the G37S wins over the 335i. The only thing I really didn't like about it was the automatic transmission, its slow and jerky in manual mode. Please opt for the manual if you can. |
marcolishuz (did i spell that right?) is a member on revscene with first hand experience of a g37 coupe. he recently wrote a detailed and fairly comprehensive review of the G37. let me see if i can find the thread |

That's true, but coming from a relatively light car like my S14 to this grand touring G35 was quite a change in terms of "chuckability" My point being that coming from a light sporty car like a RSX would make you realized the G35 isn't as light and spunky to drive Posted via RS Mobile |
