Well is actually early this year but no one mention it so I though I would It’s official: Asia’s just run out of IPv4 Addresses | ZDNet
I was actually surpise we rant out of IPv4 address. Time for IPv6! As far as I know IPv6 COULD last centuries.... well maybe since it is built to future prof. Wonder what will happen to Canada Ip address in the near future.

what i learnt 2 years ago will finally be useful. 
IPv4, we have wasted a ton of IPs. ex 10.0.0.0 network, 172.16.0.0 network, 169.254.0.0 network, 192.168.0.0 network and some other ranges.

i don't really see how you can call private address space a waste...
i am not looking forward to the days of ipv6, i enjoyed being able to memorize ip addresses. Even with ipv6 shortened notation its still a pain...
But yes, ideally ipv6 will be in use for a VERY long time. it has 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,45 6 possible addresses (2^128)!

Is there anyone familiar with migration from IPv4-->IPv6?
I think in the coming years, IPv4-->IPv6 migration service would be in great demand. I want to know if there's any course of book I can learn some more on this.

At least with IPv6 we will no longer have to subnet and NAT majority of the time.
I learnt IPv6 when i was taking courses at BCIT. Try buying the CCNA level books from cisco and learn from it.

ipv6 will last pretty much forever.
even if every phone, car deck, watch, shoe, and refrigerator gets an ip some day there will be more than enough.
