i had that back in the day.. dedicated phone line in my room :fuckyea:

however, the only time i could decently play a game of starcraft was saturday at 7am. and then i discovered that my brother had a rogers@home connection next door but wouldn't share :alone:

What was it? *78 or *80 to disable call waiting (so that you wouldn't get disconnected when someone called)? And anyone else remember netzero?

I went as far as paying $5/month for Internet Call Director which would alert me when someone called and gave me the option to disconnect and answer or forward the call

Girl 11-18-2011 02:29 AM

Ah, good ol' icq, full of men from Turkey who would message you asking if you wanted to be their wife.

asian_XL 11-18-2011 05:00 AM

11:00pm - 3:00am was my prime time back in the icq days.

Pay-per-view porn (black box) + ICQ chatting with chicks + random porn domain search...

!SG 11-20-2011 10:18 AM

so been using icq for the past few days.

things ive noticed:

1) i dont know 50% of the ppl on my icq list, especially when i dont have some asian font decoder on. i guess i need to reinstall njstar.

2) links to facebook, and cell phone... err ok.

3) cant change password or email address...

Zyzz 11-20-2011 10:21 AM

Is Cyber city the "game" where you control 2-d characters in some 2-d environment "rooms", kind of like diablo, where you chit chat?

I remember dling a hack to bypass 'cooldown' to punch people nonstop in that chat game lol.

nns 11-20-2011 12:36 PM

Does anybody remember Unichat?

RRxtar 11-20-2011 01:34 PM

Ikkaku 11-20-2011 01:35 PM

LOL, look at what they're saying. "Do you have a nice body?".

I remember getting ICQ #s from unichat. Conversation start like this:
1) walk up to random girl (the ones that didn't use an ugly avatar)
2) "a/s/l?" - determine worthiness from response
3) "wats ur icq #?"
4) repeat

Haha, Unichat had clans too. Rapid punch, ninja walk, flooding..memories.

SkinnyPupp 11-20-2011 08:31 PM

see.lai 11-20-2011 09:00 PM

Uhoh, I forgot my ICQ number :alonehappy:

anybody remember habbo hotel? :heckno:

Truenosan 11-20-2011 09:09 PM

I somehow remember my ICQ #, but can't remember my password or which e-mail I had that registered to.

asian_XL 11-20-2011 09:18 PM

Telus cell phone plan was $30 for like 30 minutes.
Parents got pissed when 56K dialup blocked the home phone line and they had to call using cell phone.

then Rogers@home came out, 70kb/s was like lighting speed. Downloading songs from Napster was like :fuckyea:
